Yvonne Ndege is a journalist based in Abuja, Nigeria, and is the West Africa Correspondent for the English-language news channel, Al Jazeera English. She previously worked with the BBC from 1997-2007. In 2009 she was the co-recipient of the silver prize of the United Nations Foundations Prize awarded by the United Nations Correspondents Association, for her work in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
