Nobuyuki Hirano is President of The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. Commencing his career in 1974, Mr. Hirano went on to hold various important positions. He headed the bank’s overseas business strategies in the early 1990s, then strategic planning for the Americas while based at the bank’s N.Y. office from 1994 to 2001. Mr. Hirano became Deputy President in 2009, and assumed his current position in April 2012. Mr. Hirano also served as Chairman of the Planning Committee of Japanese Bankers Association from 2009 to 2010.
