Jörg Asmussen is a Member of the Executive Board, European Central Bank (since January 2012), responsible for the Directorate General International and European Relations and the Directorate General Legal Services. Prior to this, he served in various positions at the German Federal Ministry of Finance, including State Secretary and acted as the Chancellor’s G20 Sherpa (2011).
