Slovenia joined the World Bank and the International Development Association (IDA) in February 1993. The Enterprise and Financial Sector Adjustment Loan (US$80 million) approved in July 1993 supported the government’s efforts in privatizing enterprises, restructuring and privatizing banks, improving the regulatory framework for banking, adjusting the labor market, and strengthening the social safety net.... more in Country Brief
